DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb Public Health confirmed an additional mosquito surveillance trap has tested positive for West Nile virus.
The positive trap was located in ZIP code 30316, which encompasses East Atlanta and unincorporated DeKalb.

A total of eight mosquito surveillance traps have tested positive for the virus across various areas of DeKalb County this year.
Health officials confirmed that no human cases of West Nile virus infection have been reported in the county so far this year.

The county previously identified positive mosquito surveillance traps on July 22, Aug. 17 and Aug. 18 in various areas across DeKalb County.
