DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The family of a DeKalb County Jail inmate who died is holding a news conference on Friday.
David Addo-Wright died on Sept. 23. The sheriff’s office says they found the 24-year-old unresponsive in his cell with “several wounds.” He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
His family says he was in jail less than 48 hours and had posted bond when he was violently attacked. Watch their news conference below.

Davis Bozeman Law Firm is representing the family.
“David’s family is seeking both accountability and change. They want to ensure that the circumstances that led to David’s death are fully investigated and that meaningful steps are taken to prevent another family from experiencing a similar tragedy,” according to the law firm.
The GBI’s investigation into Addo-Wright’s death continues.
