DeKalb County announces major upgrades to Gresham Park Gresham Park gets major upgrades from SPLOST money.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — If you live in DeKalb County, the next time you drive by Gresham Park you might notice some construction or some pretty significant improvements.

As part of July’s “National Park and Recreation Month,” the county will dedicate $4.5 million of their SPLOST funds to put in new baseball fields and add turf to the park’s football field.

County and park leaders announced on Thursday that $3 million of the improvements will come from the county’s SPLOST fund, while the Atlanta Braves kicked in $1.5 million.

The “full-purpose” park already has a full-size gym, a pool, a recreation center, basketball courts and a multi-purpose field.
