19-year-old dead after late night shooting at DeKalb County apartment complex

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A teenager was shot and killed Friday night at an apartment complex in DeKalb County, police say.

Officers were called to the Avondale Townhomes on Holcombe Rd. near Redan Rd. just after 10 p.m. on Friday.

When they arrived, they found a 19-year-old man dead from an apparent gunshot wound. His identity has not been released.

Investigators have not released details on possible suspects, but say they are currently following up on several promising leads.
