Police identify man who shot driver multiple times in a road rage incident in Brookhaven

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — One man is recovering from injuries he received when he was shot in a road rage incident Sunday afternoon, police say.

According to Brookhaven police, officers were called to the intersection of N. Druid Hills Rd. and Peachtree Rd. in reference to a person being shot just before 2 p.m.

While responding to the scene, dispatchers received a second 911 call about a person shot at nearby Dresden Drive and Ellijay Drive.

Officers on that scene found a 46-year-old man who had been shot several times. He was taken to a local trauma center. There is no update on his condition.

At the initial shots fired call, a 29-year-old man told officers he was involved in a shooting nearby.

Investigators found that both men were involved in a road rage incident which ended with the victim being shot several times.

The 29-year-old man from Savannah has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Police have identified him as Joshua Holder.

The suspect is being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center.
