Coronavirus numbers in Georgia: 2,130 cases, 65 deaths and 586 hospitalizations

GEORGIA — There are now 2,130 confirmed coronavirus cases with 65 deaths in the state of Georgia. The Georgia Department of Public Health said 586 people in total have been hospitalized.

These numbers are up from 1,643 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 509 hospitalizations and 56 deaths reported Thursday night.

There have been 8,119 tests completed by commercial labs with 1,739 positive cases. Georgia Public Health Laboratory has completed 1,746 tests with 262 positive cases.

According to the state’s data, 57 percent of cases are people ages 18 to 59, 34 percent are people ages 60 or older, 8 percent are of unknown ages and 1 percent are between the ages of 0 and 17.

The confirmed cases are 46 percent men and 49 percent women, 5 percent unknown.
