  • There are now 2,366 confirmed coronavirus cases and 69 deaths in Georgia. That is up from 2,130 confirmed coronavirus cases and 65 deaths in the state of Georgia, as of 7 p.m. Friday. The Georgia Department of Public Health said a total of 617 people have been hospitalized during the state’s outbreak.
  • The cities of Loganville, Forest Park, Dunwoody and Chamblee have all issued shelter-in-place orders.
  • Emory University has joined a clinical trial testing for a vaccine that could prevent COVID-19.
  • Former Atlanta mayor, congressman and UN Ambassador Andrew Young has NOT tested positive for coronavirus despite rumors.
  • Another DeKalb jail inmate has tested positive for coronavirus.
