POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. — A senior living facility employee is facing criminal charges after investigators say he secretly recorded a resident and shared the video with a co-worker.

According to an arrest warrant, Powder Springs police arrested Oluwole Alwade after investigating allegations involving a resident at Silver Comet Village.
Investigators said the victim, a man in his 80s, was inside his apartment when Alwade allegedly recorded him without his knowledge earlier this month.

Police said Alwade later shared the video with a co-worker.
Authorities were called to the senior living facility to investigate the allegations. Following the investigation, Alwade was charged with felony eavesdropping and a misdemeanor count of sharing obscene material.
It is unclear whether additional charges could be filed.
Silver Comet Village sent the following statement to Channel 2 Action News:
“We are deeply concerned about these allegations regarding a former employee. Upon becoming aware of the concern, community leadership took immediate and appropriate action in accordance with our policies and procedures.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
