UPDATE: 16-year-old with autism found safe after Amber Alert

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A 16-year-old boy with autism has been found safe after police issued an Amber Alert for him.

Police said Jacob Rodas was kidnapped by his father from Clayton County Tuesday morning.

The father has since been taken into custody.

Clayton County Police said they responded to reports of a kidnapping on Charlotte Drive in Rex around 8 a.m.

Police said the 16-year-old, Jacob Rodas, was seen getting into a black 2021 Volkswagen Passat with his biological father, Ronald Javier Rodas.

The Passat has Louisiana plate number 125EXJ.

Police said that Ronald Rodas may switch to a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta, which has Louisiana license plate number Z0L611. That car was reported as stolen.

Jacob Rodas is described as six feet tall and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black T-shirt with white and red lettering, black jeans and black tennis shoes.
