Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields first reported on the crash at 5:40 a.m. on Channel 2 Action News This Morning. The lanes reopened just before 10 a.m.

Troopers said everything started when the first tractor-trailer improperly changed lanes in front of the Toyota.

The lane change caused the Toyota to hit the back of the tractor-trailer, which went into another lane and hit a second tractor-trailer.

The Dodge truck hit the back of that semi before a third one hit the back of the truck.

The chain reaction kept going with two more semitrucks hitting each other.

GSP reported one minor injury in the Toyota car and emergency officials took the driver to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
