ATLANTA — A busy Buckhead artery has reopened Friday morning hours after a deadly crash.

Lenox Road was shut down at Ga. 400 after a crash involving at least one car at around 3 a.m. The car was seen on its roof.

Police said a Georgia state trooper attempted to stop an Infinity Q50 for speeding around 3 a.m. on Georgia 400. Police said the driver turned off the vehicle’s lights, sped away and got off the highway at the Lenox Road exit.

The Audi traveled across the intersection, hit a concrete wall, flipped over and burst into flames.

The trooper was able to put the fire out, but two people were dead inside the car. Another person inside was seriously injured.

The victim’s identities have not been released.

Channel 2′s Kristen Holloway at the scene said the car has been removed and investigators have cleared the scene. A body was taken away by the medical examiner.
