ATLANTA — Wednesday will be a crucial day for Atlanta sport franchises.
The Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Dream both have the chance to advance to the next round of MLB and WNBA playoffs with a win today.

The Dream completed a comeback over the Washington Mystics in Game 1 of the first round on Sunday. The Braves also came back over the Philadelphia Phillies to take Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series.
The Braves and Phillies meet in Game 2 at Truist Park at 2 p.m. The Dream and Mystics tip off for Game 2 in Washington at 7 p.m.
With a win, the Braves would advance to face the Dodgers in the National League Division Series. The Dream would advance to play the New York Liberty in the semifinals.
If neither team wins, the Braves would host Game 3 on Thursday and the Dream would host Game 3 on Friday.
