Woman shot at Atlantic Station on busy weekend

ATLANTA — Police said a woman was shot outside at Atlantic Station after a fight broke out between two other groups of people.

Police said the shooting happened Sunday around 12:30 a.m. Officers responded to reports of a person with a gunshot wound outside a series of restaurant and entertainment venues that includes Regal Cinemas, the Bowlero bowling alley and Yard House restaurant.

Police found that a 27-year-old woman had been shot after two groups of people outside were involved in a fight. The woman was not a part of either group and was shot as she walked nearby.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where she was expected to survive. Her identity has not been released.

Police are still working to identify the shooters.
