Police searching for man they say attacked Buckhead woman on her way to work

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a man accused of beating, threatening and attempting to rape a woman in Buckhead.

Police said the attack happened on March 30 near Peachtree Road and Piedmont Road around 7 a.m. The victim told police she was walking to work when a man forced her into an alleyway.

The victim said she started to fight back, but the man punched her in the face. The victim said he then threatened to kill her if she didn’t stop resisting him.

The victim said she started to feel dizzy and that is when the man raped her, according to the police report.

Atlanta police released new surveillance video and photos of the suspect they are looking for.

The man can be seen wearing a multi-colored shirt, black ski mask, black pants and light-colored shoes. The victim said she saw the suspect wearing a black hat with a red label.

You do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
