Police offering $2k reward for info on I-20 shooting that left driver dead

ATLANTA — Police are searching for a gunman they say shot and killed a man on I-20 last week.

Police found Ernesto Anderson in his car on the shoulder of I-20 near Capitol Ave. on Jan. 4 with a gunshot wound to the head.

Anderson was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The investigation revealed that Anderson appeared to have lost control of his car and collided with a guardrail. A gun was recovered from inside the vehicle.

Atlanta police have classified Anderson’s death as a homicide.

Police are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS or contacting Detective J. Logan at 404-546-4235.
