ATLANTA — Police are investigating a shooting on a busy Morningside street Thursday afternoon.
NewsChopper 2 was over the scene at the intersection of Piedmont Circle NE and Rockledge Road , where Atlanta police had a portion of the road blocked off with crime scene tape.

The road is near the busy intersection of Piedmont Road and Cheshire Bridge, near the Midtown Bowl and several restaurants and bars.
Police appeared to be investigating a white van.
Atlanta police said one person was shot, but have not released the victim’s identity. Police have not said if they are searching for any potential suspect or what the motivation for the shooting may have been.
