4 people shot, killed in Atlanta in 3-hour span

ATLANTA — Police say four people were shot and killed in four separate shootings within a 3-hour period on Monday morning in Atlanta.

Around 1:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a person shot on Sidney Marcus Boulevard. Police found a passenger with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Police said the passenger was riding in a car on Georgia 400 when another car started shooting. Police are still searching for the suspects.

Around 2:50 a.m., officers responded to reports of a person shot on Magnolia Way. Police found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds who later died. Her identity has not been released.

Around 3:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a person shot at a club on Metropolitan Parkway. Police found a man with multiple gunshot wounds at the Lacura club. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Around 4:20 a.m., police found a man shot to death inside the Azule Restaurant and Lounge on Piedmont Road. Police identified the victim as Keith Sharpe, 43. Police said they are looking into two persons of interest but did not release any information about any potential suspects.

The shootings rounded off another violent weekend. At least 24 people were shot and 6 people were killed in metro Atlanta over the weekend.
