Jovita Moore’s children carry on their mom’s passion for giving back at Our House gala

ATLANTA — Jovita Moore’s children talked about her legacy of giving as the late Channel 2 anchor was honored by a charity that was very close to her heart Saturday.

“It just showed me that you always just have to give back, and we’re all the same at the end,” Shelby Griffith said. “And we just need to be there for each other and make the most of things and enjoy the little things too.”

Josh Griffith said the children at the shelter always looked up to him, and he learned from his mom to always be there for other people.

“Jovita always had a really busy schedule, so just the fact that she would take the time out of her day to go and be with someone and serve them and spend time with them, it just shows the type of person that she was, and she passed that down to us,” Lauren Griffith said. “So that’s something that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.”
