Need a ride to the polls? Here are some organizations offering discounted and free rides

ATLANTA — Several nonprofit organizations and volunteer groups are working to help people who don’t have access to transportation get to the polls on election day.

Many organizations are offering discounted and free rides on rideshare apps and at least one metro Atlanta non-profit is sending out a fleet of vans to pick people up.

Nonpartisan nonprofit Plus1Vote is offering free rides on Uber with the voucher code VoteGA to anyone in Georgia.

Volunteer group Rides to the Runoff is also offering free rides. Voters can call or text 1-800-590-VOTE or visit their website to sign up.

The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, is rolling out 100 15-passenger vans as part of their Roll-to-the-Polls campaign to get the vote out for Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.

Those vans are deployed through nine counties in metro Atlanta to ensure everyone who wants to vote can get to the polls for free.
