Delta says brief ‘limited global’ outage impacted systems, returning to normal

ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has learned that some sort of outage is impacting Delta’s website and app.

Downdetector.com showed customers started complaining that there were issues using the app and website around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

We have reached out to Delta and are working to confirm the reports.

Channel 2 Action News has a reporter and photographer headed to the airport to see what impacts the possible outage is having on flights.

In a statement shared with Channel 2 Action News on Tuesday, Delta said the outage was due to a global technology problem with their systems.

“Delta systems are stabilizing after a limited global technology issue that affected data connectivity to some of our systems behind-the-scenes,” a spokesman said. “Delta teams are working to keep our operation moving safely as systems return to normal. We appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding. Customers should use the Delta app and delta.com for the latest information about flights.”
