Historic clock tower vandalized at Morris Brown College

ATLANTA — The clock tower at Atlanta’s Morris Brown College suffered some major damage on Friday.

NewsChopper 2 flew to the college on Friday afternoon and found that the clock on all four sides of the clock tower had been busted out.

The clock tower is part of historic Fountain Hall on the college’s campus.

The clocks on three of the sides appeared to have been almost completely knocked out while the four was severely damaged, but had not fallen.

A security officer told police he saw four young men running from the building.

Channel 2 Action News has reached out to Morris Brown College for more details on the suspected vandalism.

Atlanta police have not released any details on possible suspects or motives.
