ATLANTA — The Atlanta Dream host the New York Liberty to start the WNBA playoffs semifinals.

Atlanta went 2-1 against New York during the regular season. The Dream won the last regular season matchup 83-65 on Sept. 24. Allisha Gray led the Dream with 24 points, and Marine Fauthoux led the Liberty with 14 points.
The Dream have gone 15-5 against Eastern Conference teams. Atlanta is fourth in the WNBA giving up 84.5 points per game while holding opponents to 46.9% shooting.
The Liberty are 13-7 in conference matchups. New York is third in the Eastern Conference scoring 89.6 points per game and is shooting 46.0%.

Atlanta’s average of 9.0 made 3-pointers per game this season is the same per game average that New York gives up. New York has shot at a 46.0% clip from the field this season, 0.9 percentage points below the 46.9% shooting opponents of Atlanta have averaged.
TOP PERFORMERS: Angel Reese is scoring 16.4 points per game and averaging 12.1 rebounds for the Dream. Gray is averaging 18.0 points and 3.9 rebounds over the last 10 games.
Jonquel Jones is averaging 14.5 points and 9.1 rebounds for the Liberty. Breanna Stewart is averaging 20.6 points over the last 10 games.

The WNBA announced Thursday that Angel Reese won the 2026 Kia WNBA Defensive Player of the Year award, becoming the first player in Atlanta Dream history to receive the honor. Reese got 46 of 74 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
