1 dead, 1 injured after resident opens fire on workers at apartment complex, police say

ATLANTA — One man is dead and another is injured after a resident at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex opened fire on two workers.

The shooting happened at The Premier complex on Alison Court Wednesday afternoon.

Channel 2′s Tom Regan talked to police, who said that three men were working on waterproofing a basement unit when a resident got angry about the noise.

Police said the resident opened fire on the men, shooting one in the chest and one in the arm. The shooter then chased a third worker through the property.

The worker who was shot in the chest died. The condition of the worker who was shot in the arm has not been released. The victim’s identities have also not been released.

The shooter was identified as Trevion Dashawn Webb. He was taken into custody and charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

NewsChopper 2 was over the scene Wednesday, where a large area of the complex was cordoned off with crime scene tape and then men’s work truck was still parked.

Police said they have recovered some ballistic evidence and are going through some electronic evidence. They are also talking to multiple witnesses.
