Daughter killed, mother injured in shooting in NW Atlanta

ATLANTA — Police are searching for two people accused in a deadly shooting early Tuesday morning in northwest Atlanta.

Officers were called to 212 Harwell Place in reference to persons shot around 1:30 a.m. When they arrived, officers found two women, a mother and daughter, with gunshot wounds.

Both were taken to the hospital where the daughter later died, police said.

Police said the shooting started as an argument between the mother and an unknown woman. At one point, an unknown man came to the home and shot the two women, police said.

The male suspect is described as a heavy-set Black male about 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 7 inches tall, in his 20s or 30s with a medium brown complexion and a short to medium afro.

The female suspect is described as a dark-skinned Black female with small braids on top of her head and larger braids in the back, about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall and chubby. She is believed to be in her late 30s to early 40s.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting.
