3 teens arrested in sexual attack of Conyers woman

CONYERS, Ga. — Conyers police say they have made arrests in a sexual attack on a woman.

Police say they arrested two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old.

Investigators said the woman was working security on a production filming in town Monday night when two men approached and ordered her at gunpoint into the trunk of her car.

They drove to a bank nearby and demanded the woman's PIN to take out hundreds of dollars.

Surveillance cameras at the bank captured images of the men wearing gloves and bandanas, but in one photograph the driver's face was uncovered.

Police said the pair then took the woman to Johnson Park where they sexually assaulted her before letting her go on Johnson Road where she was able to walk to a gas station and call for help.

Authorities recovered the woman’s car a short distance later.

“During the rash of crimes we’ve experienced lately, we appreciate the public’s help in being the eyes and ears of the Conyers Police Department by calling in tips, assisting with our investigations and aiding in the arrest of these criminals,” said Chief Gene Wilson.

The juvenile suspects are being held at a local youth detention center and 17-year-old Justin Kohn is being held at the Rockdale County Jail.

All suspects are being charged as adults in the case with charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, financial card fraud, carjacking and weapons charges. More charges may be forthcoming.
