COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — An 8-year-old boy died in an ATV crash in Coweta County on Monday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. on Pate Road, according to Georgia State Patrol.

Troopers said the boy was driving a Honda ATV going south on Pate Road when he lost control. The ATV hit a mailbox, went off the road and overturned.
GSP said the 8-year-old was thrown from the ATV and died at the scene. Troopers have not released the child’s name. The crash remains under investigation.
