800 confirmed coronavirus cases, 26 deaths in Georgia

GEORGIA — There are now 800 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Georgia and 26 deaths.

The number of cases went from 620 Sunday night to the current total as of 7 p.m. Monday.

The next update will be released at noon on Tuesday.

According to the state’s data, 59 percent are people ages 18 to 59, 36 percent of the cases are people ages 60 or older, 4 percent are of unknown ages and 1 percent are between the ages of 0 and 17.

There have been 3,824 tests completed by commercial labs with 631 positive cases. Georgia Public Health Laboratory has done 1,245 tests with 169 positive cases.

The confirmed cases are 48 percent men and 50 percent women, 2 percent unknown.
