NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A special-needs therapist is accused of grabbing a 5-year-old patient and throwing him against a shelf.
Police say it happened at Pathways Autism Center in Johns Creek, and it was captured on surveillance video.
The family told Channel 2’s Tom Jones they were told the child slipped and fell, LIVE on Channel 2 Action News at 5:00 p.m.
The child’s family says staff still told them it was an accident even after seeing the footage.
They say they were the ones who called police.
“He threw my grandson He threw him. Everyone wants to say pushed. He threw him,” said Daniell Carroll, the child’s grandmother.
The child had a deep cut on his forehead that required stitches.
