ATLANTA — One teenager is dead and another teen is hurt in a shooting in northwest Atlanta.
Atlanta police say the shooting happened between two buildings on Joseph E. Boone Boulevard. They said a 17-year-old boy died and a 17-year-old girl was also shot.
Police believe they got in a shootout with someone, based on the number of shell casings found at the location.
Authorities say the 17-year-old victim was Ontavious Brown of Atlanta. The girl was taken to Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition.
Police say they do not have a description of the shooter.
