100 single-parent households in metro Atlanta get a little help for the holidays

ATLANTA — A metro Atlanta nonprofit stepped in to help 100 single-parent led families  give their  kids a great holiday this year.

On Sunday, 3D Girls, Inc. hosted a drive-up winter wonderland experience where families could stop by and receive holiday toys for kids ages two to 12. The organization collected over 2,000 toy donations from partner agencies and  individuals and provided 150 metro Atlanta  kids with a little cheer to put under the Christmas tree.

“With 75% of the families in the network suffering from unemployment, we are working every day to connect these families to tangible resources that support their essential needs,” said Raioni Madison Jones, Executive Director of 3D Girls, Incorporated.

The organization has hosted the drive for the last five years, but this year was different due to the pandemic.

“We know it has been a tough year and we want to ensure that families feel seen and supported during the holidays as well,” Madison said.
