The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that deputies arrested Maria Susanne Roberts following an investigation.
According to the sheriff’s office, Roberts was working as a school bus monitor when the alleged incidents occurred.
Authorities said Roberts is accused of trying to connect a minor and an adult male by providing the child with the adult’s contact information.
Deputies also said Roberts gave a child a pregnancy test after being told the child could have been pregnant as a result of abuse.
The sheriff’s office alleges Roberts failed to report the suspected abuse to authorities.

She is being held at the Whitfield County Jail on the following charges:
• Enticing a child for indecent purposes
• Failure to report suspected child abuse
The sheriff’s office credited its Special Victims Unit for the investigation.
“Another day, another shout-out to our SVU for their hard work closing out more child-related criminal cases,” the agency said in a statement. “We’ve given warnings, and we’ve shown that we aren’t slowing down.”
Authorities have not released additional details about the juvenile involved or the adult male referenced in the investigation.
The case remains under investigation.
