GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — A former dealership employee is accused of stealing more than $16,000 worth of tires, rims and vehicle parts from a Georgia dealership, according to police.

Glynn County police said it began investigating a theft reported Aug. 3 at Nalley Buick GMC of Brunswick after an employee noticed items were disappearing shortly after another employee was terminated.
Investigators said surveillance video captured the suspect stealing multiple items from the dealership on several different dates, including tires, rims and center caps.
Police said the suspect was responsible for more than $16,000 in stolen property.
A search warrant was later obtained for a home on Melvin Lane as investigators worked to recover the stolen items and find the suspect.

On Aug. 6 around 7 a.m., officers searched the home and found multiple items connected to the theft, police said. The stolen property was later returned to Nalley Buick GMC.
Police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Wenly Geffrard, who was arrested. He was booked into the Glynn County Detention Center on three counts of second-degree burglary, all felonies.
Police said Geffrard also had active warrants from other states.
