Looking to add a 2021 Ford GT Liquid Carbon Edition or a car featured on “Bitchin’ Rides: Road to the Ridler” to your car collection?
Richmond Auctions will host its inaugural Fall Spectacular auction on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17 at the Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville, Ga. The event will feature more than 125 classic and collector vehicles alongside 400 pieces of vintage automobilia.
The auction marks an expansion of Richmond Auctions’ lineup into collector vehicles, building on its history in advertising memorabilia and petroliana. The company previously held the 2025 Tony Townley Collection auction, which generated over $25 million in sales.
The sale is led by TwelveAir, a custom vehicle built by Dave Kindig that won the 2024 Ridler Award at the Detroit Autorama. The vehicle was constructed over four and a half years inside the Kindig-it Design shop and featured in the eight-episode television series “Bitchin’ Rides: Road to the Ridler.” TwelveAir is one of four Kindig-built vehicles featured in the auction.
Also featured in the vehicle lineup is a 2021 Ford GT Liquid Carbon Edition, one of 30 units produced. Ford individually selected the original buyers for the vehicle rather than offering the model through a standard retail process.
In addition to vehicles, the auction catalog includes vintage advertising, petroliana and country-store memorabilia.
Richmond Auctions was founded by collectors Jordan Richmond and Mike McCandless. McCandless previously lent four Chrysler Letter Cars from his private collection to the Savoy Automobile Museum for its 2026 exhibition titled “The Mighty 300.”
“At car auctions you often hear that you’ll never get another chance to buy a car like this,” McCandless said. “At the Richmond Auctions Fall Spectacular, three cars truly fit that description. The 2021 Ford GT Liquid Carbon is one of just 30 built and the rarest modern supercar Ford has ever produced. The 1953 Kindig-It Twelve Air won the 2024 Ridler Award, which makes it the best custom-built car in America. And the 1969 Boss 429 is one of the most desirable Ford muscle cars ever made. It’s unrestored, with 13,000 miles and had the same owner the past 50 years.”
The auction begins at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on both Oct. 16 and Oct. 17 at the Savoy Automobile Museum, located at 3 Savoy Lane in Cartersville. Bidders can participate live onsite, online, by phone or through the Richmond Auctions mobile app.
“The Fall Spectacular is an event every car enthusiast will enjoy,” McCandless said." For the price of general admission, you get to tour the world-class Savoy Automobile Museum and see more than 130 remarkable cars cross the block over two days, plus 400 pieces of rare advertising memorabilia. Cars of this caliber often disappear into private collections for 50 years or more, so this may be the only chance the public ever has to see them.”
