ORLANDO, Fla. — Halloween Horror Nights is back!
Universal Orlando Resort celebrates the 35th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights in 2026 with 10 haunted houses, four scare zones and two live shows across 49 select nights through Nov. 1.
Halloween Horror Nights began in 1991 as a three-night event featuring a single haunted house called “Fright Nights.” For its 35th anniversary, the 2026 event centers on the “Infernal Carnival of Nightmares,” a storyline led by event characters Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow.

This year’s haunted house lineup features attractions based on major entertainment properties.
Enter the fifth and final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things 5,” as the barrier between reality and the supernatural is collapsing to unleash an ominous darkness over the town of Hawkins.
Step back in time to the popular Club Juke from Warner Bros. Pictures “Sinners,” where a night of music and celebration turns to panic as a troupe of unrelenting vampires crash the opening night, threatening to curse guests in a brutal battle for survival.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort Come face-to-face with Halloween Horror Nights icons Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow in “Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control,” where their twisted rivalry unfolds in a battle between chaos and control that ultimately leads to the two adversaries joining forces.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort Mike Aiello, senior director of entertainment creative development at Universal Orlando Resort, highlighted the milestone event and its combination of licensed media and original concepts. “I’ve been involved with this event for about 24 of those 35 years, and to even say that is such a massive thing, and we are pulling out all the stops for our anniversary year this year,” Aiello said.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort “This event has always been about bringing the best of pop culture horror and combining that with a lot of original ideas that we’re able to create and come up with, and it’s that combination that truly has set Halloween Horror Nights apart from other haunted events.”
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort Don’t miss the terrifying scare zones and street experiences throughout Universal Orlando Resort. Those include “Downtown Clowntown,” where a troupe of maniacal clowns has taken over the New York area and converted it into Downtown Clowntown in honor of Jack.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort There’s “Fortnitemares,” where fans will enter Freaky Fields, a Halloween-inspired living battleground overcome with a threatening force. Throughout the scare zone, fans will encounter the Battle Bus along with familiar Fortnitemares characters – plus a few new additions exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights – as they work to escape and claim victory.
