Fireworks & more: Celebrate July 4 with these events around Atlanta

Looking to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks, friends and fun this year? There are plenty of options around town to celebrate the July 4 holiday this weekend.

July 2

Johns Creek

The city of Johns Creek hosts its Independence Day Celebration from 6-10 p.m. at Newton Park with food trucks, the Block Party Experience concert and other activities.

July 3

Cumming

The Cumming Fourth of July Celebration kicks off with a parade at 10 a.m. followed by games, food, contests and fireworks at the City of Cumming Fairgrounds.

Duluth

Fireworks will ignite the sky once again at Duluth’s award-winning patriotic celebration, Duluth Celebrates America.There will be live music, food trucks and more from 5:30-10 p.m. at the Duluth Town Green. Please note, there will NOT be a kids zone this year.

Kennesaw

Downtown Kennesaw hosts Salute to America from 6-10 p.m. The event includes a kids parade, food trucks, music and more.

Marietta

The Marietta Square hosts Fourth in the Park Festival from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The festival includes a parade, concerts, food, crafts, a kids zone and more.

Norcross

Red, White and Boom starts at 5 p.m. in downtown historic Norcross.

July 4

Alpharetta

Celebrate our great nation with your family under the stars watching a display of fireworks at dusk at Wills Park. Families are welcome to enjoy the fireworks together but are asked to social distance and take whatever precautions will make them feel comfortable. Due to COVID-19 guidelines and precautions, this year’s event will not feature any of the additional activities it has in the past.

Dahlonega

The Iron Mountain Resort hosts a fireworks show Sunday night. The show wraps up a weekend of events in the city that includes a car show, parade, hot dog eating contest and dog show.

Decatur

Fireworks will launch from the top of the DeKalb County Courthouse starting at 9 p.m.

Dillard

Celebrate Independence Day at the Dillard House. The big event will include barbecue, a musical performance by “The Voice” winner Chris Blue, fireworks and more.

East Point

The City of East Point is celebrating the 4th of July with an augmented reality fireworks show this year, not an in-person event. Simply download the TotalAR app for free on GooglePlay or the AppStore and use your smartphone or tablet to witness a spectacular fireworks show starting July 4th from 9:00 p.m. to midnight!

Powder Springs

Enjoy games, face painting, bouncy houses, food trucks, live music and artisan vendors at Powder Springs’ Springs Fest. Events start at noon.

Roswell

Roswell Area Parks hosts the 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza from 5:30-10 p.m. The event includes food, entertainment and more.

Sandy Springs

Enjoy music, food trucks and more at the Sandy Springs Stars and Stripes event from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the City Springs complex.

Snellville

Check out Star Spangled Snellville July 4th Celebration from 4-10 p.m. on the Snellville Town Green. The event includes live music, fireworks, a kids zone and festival food.

Troup County

Troup County is excited to announce that the Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show at Pyne Road Park, hosted by Troup County Parks and Recreation, will be held. Come join the fun with family and friends as we celebrate our great nation together! The gates will open at 3pm with an entry fee of $10 per vehicle. Live music featuring Eley Road starts at 6pm and the fireworks show will begin at dark. Local vendors will sell food and drinks at this event.

July 1-5

Stone Mountain Park

Check out the Fantastic Fourth Celebration. Enjoy a day full of adventure with great family attractions and live entertainment, then stay into the evening to experience the Lasershow Spectacular followed by the exact same patriotic fireworks finale each night of the celebration! Reservations for the Lasershow Spectacular are required.
