Things 2 Do

Enjoy Elvis-inspired pancakes this week

“It’s Now or Never.”

From Sept. 2-8, Snooze, An A.M. Eatery will offer Graceland Pancakes. It’s a guest favorite and a spin on Elvis Presley’s favorite sandwich. Diners “Can’t Help Falling in Love” with this creation that includes buttermilk pancakes filled with fresh banana slices and topped with peanut butter cream, caramel sauce, chopped bacon, whipped butter and a bacon flag.

If you’re “All Shook Up” after reading that description, head to Snooze. There’s one in north Buckhead on Roswell Road. There’s good news for those in Midtown, too. Throw on some “Blue Suede Shoes” and head to the grand opening of the company’s second Atlanta area location. It opens on Wednesday in west Midtown on Howell Mill Road. It’s the company’s 50th location.

Bringing a taste of Atlanta’s growing urban art scene to the restaurant, Snooze has teamed up with local Atlanta artist, Kendall McCann, to design a colorful mural that will be the centerpiece of the space. Inspired by Snooze’s ongoing “Everyone is Welcome at Our Table” initiative, the mural celebrates diversity, inclusion and acceptance.

Every pre-opening weekend, Snooze hosts “Community Days” and partners with local nonprofit organizations to host breakfast benefits for each as a way for Snooze to show their dedication to local causes and meet their new community. Last weekend, guest contributions and proceeds raised over $3,700 which was directly donated to Lost-n-Found Youth and Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. In celebration of the 50th opening, Snooze is donating an additional $5,000 split between each organization to further its commitment to the Atlanta community.

If bacon is the only thing that makes you “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” celebrate International Bacon Day at Snooze on Saturday. Snooze is teaming up with No Kid Hungry to provide up to 250,000 meals to kids in need across the country. They’ll donate the meals to help celebrate the unofficial holiday.
