BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — Police said an arrest has been made in the overnight shooting outside a Kroger.
They said Olaolukitan Adon Abel, 26, also was connected with other shootings in DeKalb County, including a deadly shooting of a woman killed Monday while out walking her dog.
Police said the victim near Kroger at Cherokee Plaza on Peachtree Road was homeless. He was apparently sleeping when he was shot multiple times around 2 a.m.
This was the second shooting there within the past three weeks.
Adon Abel also is believed to be the person who shot a woman multiple times outside a Checkers in DeKalb County around 12:50 a.m. She was taken to a hospital but died from her injuries.

Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach spoke with a Kroger employee and neighbors for Channel 2 Action News This Morning starting at 4:30 a.m.
The employee said he was going on his break when he heard gunshots. The neighbors called 911 when they also heard gunfire.
Officers arrived and found a man shot on the pavement by one of the store entrances. The shooting took place right in front of at least three security cameras and another mobile security camera in the parking lot.
On March 22, a 79-year-old man shot a 75-year-old man around 10 a.m. when the shopping center was full of people.
