A gunman accused of shooting a DeKalb County police officer is in custody, but two more people remain barricaded inside an apartment.
DeKalb County Chief Communications Officer Dionna Smith confirmed to Channel 2’s Mark Winne that the suspect, Tremagne McCluskey, is now in custody.
She added that SWAT units and patrol officers are still on scene because two men are believed to be barricaded inside an apartment.

A large number of police vehicles responded to and have traffic blocked.
DeKalb police say they were in the area of Glenwood Rd. and Columbia Dr. assisting Cobb County police searching for an armed robbery suspect when McCluskey opened fire and shot a DeKalb officer.
McCluskey faces charges of aggravated assault on an officer, as well as his previous charges of armed robbery and gun possession.

DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson told Channel 2’s Mark Winne that an officer was grazed by a bullet and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. She says the officer is alert and in good spirits.
Police say the officer is stable with non-life-threatening injuries.
“Everyone is thankful and praying,” Cochran-Johnson told Winne.
She added that it happened during a confrontation.
“We will deploy every resource available to us and bring him to justice,” Cochran-Johnson said.
At least a dozen police cruisers could be spotted by NewsChopper 2 on Glenwood Drive.
Witnesses at the scene told Channel 2’s Ashli Lincoln they heard gunfire.
