Capt. Jaeson Daniels told Channel 2 Action News that crews were able to get into the home and quickly find the woman. Paramedics rushed her to the hospital, where she was last listed as critical.
Daniels said a child escaped from the home before firefighters arrive. She was stable and taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. A third family member is being treated for burns at the hospital.
Investigators believe the fire started upstairs toward the back of the home, but they do not have a cause yet. Firefighters will stay on the scene to watch for any hotspots.
