GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — International fashion retailer Primark is expanding its footprint in the U.S. with its first Georgia location.
Primark officially opens on Sept. 8 at Sugarloaf Mills in Lawrenceville. The retailer also plans to open a second store in the state located in Augusta.

Kevin Tulip, who serves as the president of Primark U.S., commented on the retail chain’s arrival in the market.
“Our expansion into the state of Georgia is something we’re extremely excited about. We’re thrilled to bring the residents of Atlanta Primark’s signature everyday essentials at affordable prices,” Tulip said in a news release.
“We know that Primark’s offering of quality fashion at exceptional value is more important than ever to today’s consumers and we’re looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming customers from Georgia’s capital.”
The Lawrenceville location will feature more than 26,000 square feet of retail selling space.

Primark is planning an opening day event with giveaways, live music and more. Customers can view store inventory on Primark’s website prior to the opening.
As the Georgia store prepares to launch, there are job openings posted on Primark’s career website.
Primark was founded in Ireland in 1969 as a value fashion retailer. The company now operates more than 480 stores across 19 countries in Europe, the Middle East and the United States, employing more than 80,000 workforce members.
