Georgia sheriff warns child predators they will be ‘social media famous’

The sheriff’s office took a man into custody who they say is tied to 2 different assault cases.

WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. — The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a man they say is accused of multiple counts of child molestation.

On Aug. 21, WCSO said they concluded an investigation and took Kristian Kriner into custody for charges in two separate assault cases.

Both cases involve alleged victims younger than 18.

The sheriff’s office said Kriner was charged with two counts of statutory rape, child molestation and aggravated child molestation.

Sheriff Pierce also said that, due to how Special Victims Unit posts “gain quite a bit of traction,” he wanted to make it clear that “if you decide to victimize a child in our county, you will be social media famous.”
