Police said that the camera is citing people for speeds improperly, so if you have received a citation form the camera at the school, the department is offering to help.
“This particular camera is enforcing speeds as a 25 mph zone when it is in fact a 35 mph zone,” the department said. “We are currently not enforcing speeds from this system until the problem is fixed.”
If you’ve been cited improperly for this area, call Jackson Police at 770-775-7878 or contact Chief Matt Garrison and the department said it will “gladly take care of it for you.”
