COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police said two people are on the run after a group robbed a teenager and then shot him when he tried to fight back.
A third person, 18-year-old Tcorrain Walton, was arrested, officials said.
Police in Cobb County told Channel 2 Action News that the trio beat up the victim and stole his wallet on Bennington Drive last Monday.
They shot him in the leg and then fired at least one more shot before driving away, police said.
Police said the teenager ran to a neighbor's home, where he asked for help. He was treated at a local hospital and is expected to recover.
Channel 2's Chris Jose spoke to the victim's mother, who said via text message that she is scared.
"I'm fearful of retribution against myself and my son," the victim's mother wrote to Jose.

Neighbors told Jose they hope police will find the robbers soon.
"I feel they'll find the people who did it," Charli Porter told Jose. "It's really scary, but I do trust the police system."
Walton is being held at the Cobb County Jail without bond. Police said they believe the other two suspects are young adults.
"It's the young people doing it to each other," Porter said. "You never know, I just pray a whole lot."
