COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County authorities released on Tuesday a dashcam video from an intense chase on Barrett Parkway.
Channel 2 Action News at 4:00 p.m. first told you about the June 24 chase last month that ended when the driver crashed into a fence. Channel 2 Cobb County Bureau Chief Michele Newell spoke with the homeowner who said the truck was so close to hitting the house that it came close to their A/C unit.

The incident began when 911 callers reported the tractor-trailer driving recklessly and nearly colliding with other vehicles. Cobb County police said officers from Precinct 5 responded swiftly to the calls.
An officer spotted the truck on Dallas Highway and attempted a traffic stop. But the driver fled onto Barrett Parkway, maneuvering through both northbound and southbound lanes in an attempt to evade capture.
The chase stopped when the driver crashed into a fence, nearly hitting a home.
Police charged the driver, identified as Anthony Walker, with aggravated assault against two officers, DUI, reckless driving and more. Police said he stole the semi-truck from Paulding County.
According to the warrant, Walker is accused of being under the influence of fentanyl.
