ATHENS, Ga. — Athens police said a missing woman with dementia was found dead on Monday.
Lillie Mae Wade, 77, was reported missing on Friday after last being seen at 780 Barber Street in Athens.
Police said her body was found at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday near Dairy Pak Road.
Athens police partnered with other local and state agencies to search for Wade, and utilized K-9 units, drones, aviation support, ATVs, and officers on foot.
