UNION CITY, Ga. — Union City police have reunited a baby with his family after they say he was dropped off at the wrong daycare.
Police issued an “abandoned child” alert on Tuesday after a boy under the age of one was dropped off around 7:24 a.m. at a daycare on Union Street.
Police said a man dropped off the child in a white Toyota Corolla with an unknown tag. But none of the daycare workers recognized the baby.
On Wednesday, police told Channel 2’s Tom Jones a family member was supposed to drop the child off at a different location in Fairburn. The baby is now back with his family.
