Man identified after being found dead in restaurant’s vent

ATLANTA — Workers at an Atlanta soul food restaurant were met with a gruesome discovery on Monday morning when they found a body hanging through an HVAC vent.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has now identified him as Terrika Myers, 37.

Witnesses told police they saw Myers’ head, arms, and torso hanging out of the vent in the kitchen of Walter’s Soul Food Café, over the area where employees fry most of the food.

His legs were sticking out of the top of the HVAC unit on the restaurant’s roof.

“I don’t even know how you can get on the roof,” one customer told Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes.

Police have not commented on the circumstances surrounding Myers’ death or how long he had been there.
