ATLANTA — A number of trees falling across power lines and poles has residents without power on Sunday.
The Norwood Road community in southeast Atlanta, near Dobbs Elementary School, is currently without power.
Georgia Power told Channel 2 Action News that several trees had fallen and not only knocked down wires but power poles, leading to a multi-hour repair effort that is still underway.

For now, that means the 145 residents impacted won’t have power back on until sometimes this evening.
A Georgia Power spokesman said the current estimated time was power back on by 7:30 p.m.
In a second nearby neighborhood on Redford Drive, a similar problem is also keeping residents without power.
However, Georgia Power said the second neighborhood had a less severe situation, with fewer trees and less damage.
The roughly 125 customers impacted there are estimated to have power back on sometime this afternoon, likely by 4:30 p.m., according to the power company.
