ATLANTA — The Atlanta Hawks, College Park Skyhawks and Hoop It Up will host a one-day 3x3 basketball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The event marks the return of Hawks 3x3 basketball to Atlanta for the first time in seven years.
The tournament will include recreational divisions for boys and girls ages 10 to 18, adult divisions for men and women, an adult wheelchair division and a Pro-Am division.
The Pro-Am division will offer a $2,000 prize.

Jon Babul, Hawks vice president of basketball programs, said, “We’re always looking for new ways to grow the game and create meaningful basketball experiences for our community and partnering with Hoop It Up to bring 3x3 basketball back to Atlanta is a great way to do just that.”
Teams in the standard divisions can have three to five players. Pro-Am teams are limited to four players.
All teams are guaranteed at least three games, with games played to 21 points.

Registration starts at $260 for standard division teams and $330 for Pro-Am teams. Each player will get a co-branded jersey and one Hawks game ticket for a select home game.
Registration is open at Hawks.com/HoopItUp through midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
The event will also include slam dunk and knockout contests with prizes, youth basketball activities, appearances by Hawks alumni and other entertainment. Spectator admission will be free.
The tournament is scheduled one week before Hawks Opening Night against the Houston Rockets on Saturday, Oct. 24.
