DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A mother lost her two boys in a shooting outside their apartment on Sunday. She believes the shooting stemmed from a fight after a football game just days ago.
Ja’hki Clark, 12, and Ja’marion Rolle, 11, were shot and killed at an apartment complex on North Hairston Road around 6 p.m.
Channel 2’s Candace McCowan spoke with the boys’ mother, who is still in shock over the loss of her two boys.
The search for suspects and how the family is remembering the victims, on Channel 2 Action News starting at 4:00 p.m.
The victims’ mother said there was a fight after a football game on Thursday and the family of the kids involved came to their home on Sunday while they were having a barbecue.
Things escalated quickly with fighting and then there were gunshots.

The mother heard the gunfire and ran out to find her 12-year-old, Jahki, had been shot. She also found her 11-year-old, Jamarion, outside with a gunshot wound to the head.
Ja’marion died at the scene. Ja’khi later died at the hospital.
The boys’ mother said her 17-year-old pregnant niece was shot three times and the teenager’s mother was also shot. Both remain at Grady Memorial Hospital in need of surgery. They are also concerned about her niece’s unborn baby.

The mother said the suspects ran away and that she gave investigators video of them.
DeKalb County police said they have no updates on any arrests but will share information when it becomes available. Anyone with information is urged to call investigators.

Ja’Khi started sixth grade at Stone Mountain Middle School. Ja’Marion started fifth grade at Stone Mill Elementary School.
In a letter to families, both schools said they are providing grief counselors at the school and will have them available throughout the week.
“Everyone reacts to death differently, so respecting each other’s feelings and emotions is essential. As a family, we encourage you to talk with your child about Ja’hki’s passing, Ja’marion’s passing so they can share their thoughts and reactions,” the schools wrote in a statement.
